FAQ

Who are you?
I am Liz Mann on the Lexicon Forum, Liz M on Fiction Alley, webmaster_liz on Live Journal and phoenixfriend on deviantART, Scrivenshafts and The Sugar Quill. In real life, though, I am Liz, I'm 19 and from England.

Are you a professional writer?
No. But I'm hoping to be.

Are you connected to J.K, Warner Brothers or one of her many publishers?
Not even remotely.

Can I link to your site?
Of course. You can use one of the buttons or banners here. Please link to "http://www.hogwartsfansite.co.uk", not the entrance hall.

Do you mind people drawing pictures of your fics?
Not at all, providing I get a copy. Go to The Common Room for the terms and conditions.

Where can I contact you?
If it's to submit something, check the page concerning the thing you want to submit for an email address. If it's a general question you want to ask me or you want to report an error, you can contact me at webmistress at hogwartsfansite dot co dot uk.

How did you first become interested in Harry Potter?
It was summer of 2001. I was on holiday, and the on-site shop had the books. My mum had told me about them, saying that I should read them because they were best sellers and prospective authors should read bestsellers. I'd never been interested before, but on this occasion I just felt like giving them a try. Strangely, I had no idea just how much hype they had created or anything about them except that there was a game called Quidditch. I didn't even know they were about witches and wizards! Anyway, I read The Philosopher's Stone and fell in love with it from the words, "It was Quirrell". Then I read the second, third and fourth ones and the ending of the fourth got me competely 100% hooked.

Why did you decide to build this site?
I was posting my stories on the Harry Potter Lexicon, but decided to make my own site to put them on too, to get a wider audience. The original layout of the site was a lot simpler, with no mini polls, no guestbook, no tables etc, and it consisted only of one fan fic, a few of the canon records and a Sorting Hat Quiz, which is no longer on here because the site that was hosting it closed down.
