| Lots of updates to report. We have several new affiliates, a new poll, a new link in the Portkey Office, a new quote, a new dream on the dreams page a new book in the recommended reading page, a new fanfic in the recommended fanfiction page and a new game on the Quiddich Pitch page. I also now have a deviantART account and have created a fanlisting. The latter is for people who love Harry, Ron and Hermione as they are in the books, but are perhaps a little disappointed with the movie representation of them. Join by clicking the appropriate link. |

| Now we have a new section - for the movies. So far the only page in it that works is the analysis of the first movie, but the others will be up soon. There is also two new videos in the fanvids section - both by the brilliant Potter Puppet Pals! And we're nominated for the Muggle Choice awards again! |

| Several updates to report - The British Words and Phrases is finally up, there's a new link in the Portkey Office, under the art heading, a new dream on the dreams page and The Common room forum has changed hosts. It is now back to World Crossing again, because it's easier for me to manage. Now all I need is for people to post something. *makes big sad puppy dog eyes* I have also taken down the spoiler warning for HBP. |

| The Muggle Choice Awards voting has ended and sadly we haven't won anything, though we did come nineth, I think, in the Intermediate Site Catagory. However, we are now nominated for three more sets of awards - the Wizard Fire Awards (WizardFire.net), the Whomping Willow Awards (Marauders-Memories.com) and the Wizards United Awards (Wizard-City.com). All of them are voted for by judges rather than visitors to the site, except the Visitors Choice Award at Wizard Fire and the shortlisting period at Wizards United. However, at this time, all the awards are still in the nomination stage. I will post more details on them when they're needed. There are also more entries in the dreams, fan vids and recommended reading pages. A couple of essays are coming soon. |

| Voting has begun on the Muggle Choice Awards! Please, please, please vote for me! You can do so by clicking on the Muggle Choice Awards button on the right (under the 'vote for me' heading). It will take you straight to one of the catagories Hogwarts School: A Harry Potter Fansite is nominated for - 'best intermediate site'. Then if you click on the 'next poll' link, it will take you to the other catagory we're nominated for - 'best general site'. We are also nominated for the judges choice, which is the last poll on the list. Much appreciated! |

| I now have a brand new Cafe Press shop! It is about sites and scenery of Britain (my home country), with all pictures hand-taken by myself. So far I only have a few products up, but there will be more later. Go check it out. Also, the poll on the HP directers which was interupted by the GoF trailer a while ago is back up and running and we now belong to another webring (see webrings page on left). |

| The survey is now closed. It didn't exactly go very well because I thought I was supposed to get email notifications of when someone filled it in, but I didn't get any. Now I just checked the survey and found seven responses. But I can't view the results because I've exceeded the free account's limits. They won't let you view your results after a certain amount of days on the free account to try and get you to upgrade. So I will never know the results of that survey. Oh well. I will take down all the links to the survey sometime in the near future. |

| Hogwarts School now has three new affiliates (see left). The first one is Breaking the Habit, a fansite by a fellow Lexicon Forum member called Pyro (or Didi, depending on where you know her from), which is Draco/Hermione orientated. Then there is Iris, which is also by Pyro and is centered around Harry/Hermione. And thirdly there is Potter Parties, the new thing to hit the online Potter fandom, created by the hosts of several of the major fansites to keep track of all the parties and events celebrating the release of book six in July. We also have a new poll. The results for the previous one are on the past polls page. There is also two new items in the news and rumours page of The Quibbler. |

| The news and rumours section of The Quibbler has been updated to include information about the Goblet of Fire trailer. Also, in the light of this surge of footage from the film, the current poll topic "Which director do you think was more faithful to the book?" has been replaced with a different one, which will run for the rest of the month. The 'director' poll continue after that. |

. There are some updates to the site too. There is some more news in the news section, the third year exam is finally up and there is a new poll. Also, one of our affiliates, The Ink and Quill, is no longer running. They are not taking anymore new fanfiction. The site and the stories that are already there will remain until sometime next year, though, so they're still worth a visit. |

Some new features have been added, including a new poll, a new advert, new fun pics in the gallery, I've fixed the link for the second year exam (which someone pointed out to me was wrong) and I've tried to make navigation a bit easier for newcomers. I had meant to include the book three exam in this update but I'm having problems with the HTML code for it. So I will get that up as soon as possible. |

| I haven't had replies to emails sent to a couple of the sites on the affiliates list requesting affiliation, so I have taken their buttons off the list. If I get replies they will be back. | At last! The long awaited update is here! Hogwarts School is now part of a larger community, with new Web Rings and affiliates (see left). There's tons of new stuff! There's a new fanfic in the library, Speak the Truth, But Leave Immediately After. The Corridor is gone, and it's content has been moved to The Quibbler where you can also find essays. There is a new shrine to Harry and Ginny in there. I am aware that for some time the guestbook and the poll haven't been working, and I've moved them to different hosts. The Common Room has also moved and is now about discussing Harry Potter in general instead of just giving feedback on the site. There is also a new live journal. These are only some of many changes (including the layout). You may also have noticed there are now popups about. I'm afraid this comes of having two of the site's features with Bravenet. Sorry 'bout that. |
